1. The service

Carfax Vin Check sells credits that can be exchanged for vehicle history reports. One credit produces one report for one VIN. Credits are one-time purchases, are not a subscription, and do not expire.

2. Accounts

You need an account to buy credits and run reports. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3. Payments

Prices are shown at checkout and charged once — there are no recurring charges. Taxes may apply depending on your location.

4. Reports and accuracy

Reports are compiled from third-party data sources available at the time of generation. The absence of a record does not guarantee an event did not occur. Reports are informational and are not a substitute for a professional mechanical inspection.

5. Acceptable use

You may not resell reports, scrape the service, or use it in violation of applicable law, including laws governing the use of vehicle records.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carfax Vin Check is not liable for purchase decisions made based on report contents. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.
