Used credits

A credit is considered used once a report has been generated for a VIN. Because we pay our data sources per report, used credits are generally not refundable. If a report failed to generate, the credit is returned to your account automatically.

Wrong VIN entered

We validate VINs before running a report to catch typos. If a report was still generated for a mistyped VIN, contact support — we review these case by case and usually restore the credit.

How to request a refund

Email support@carfaxvincheck.example.com from your account email with your order details. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Carfax Vin Check support responds within 24 hours.
